Motorcycle Interest Grows as Gas Prices Rise
Gas prices are on the rise and everyone is afraid that the $5 / gallon fuel price is just around the corner. As these fears take hold (and seem to be more and more realistic), everyone is seeking out ways to reduce the amount of money that they spend on gas. This has caused a sudden spike in the number of people who are taking an interest in driving motorcycles.
Many people are starting to realize that they still want to keep a big car for certain activities but that they can get by with a smaller vehicle a good portion of the time. For example, someone with a family may want a car that can transport everyone but may be able to commute to and from work alone on a motorcycle if the babysitting situation is right.
The purchase of a new motorcycle will initially set the family’s finances back because the family won’t be giving up a vehicle to get the bike. However, if the motorcycle gets good gas mileage and is regularly used for daily driving, it can quickly pay for itself in the amount of gas money that is saved due to better gas mileage. That’s something that more and more people are waking up and realizing!
