Family Visiting But They Won’t Fit in My Prius
The holidays are just around the corner and although I am really thrilled that we will have family visiting, I am little concerned. With today’s environmental concerns we have really scaled down on a lot of luxuries. We moved into a smaller more “green” type of home. We traded in our gas guzzler and got a little compact Toyota Prius that is far more fuel efficient. Albeit we feel great about the choices we are making for the environment we aren’t quite sure where to put all of our family when they come down to stay with us.
We worked out the lodging situation, but traveling is a whole other problem. Clearly, we cannot fit eight people in my little Prius. Therefore, we decided to either have them rent a mini-van which can be available for them to pick up at the Orlando airport car rental or we may decide to pick up a vehicle before they get here so we can pick them up from the airport. We also have family flying into Fort Lauderdale and fortunately there is a Fort Lauderdale airport car rental at that airport as well.
If we decide to get an Orlando car rental to pick them up in I can also use it to drop off some long over due donations I haven’t been able to fit in my Prius for the holiday season. Who knows, maybe I will free up even more room that we didn’t know we had in preparation for their visit.
